What we suggest:
- Okama Udon
Aldrich & I honestly come to this restaurant during late hours when our stomachs are in need for some HOT UDON. I haven’t had very much good Udon experiences in Los Angeles since Tokyo Lobby, so Sueshiro really impressed. It’s a simple broth, the noodles are tender and soft but it doesn’t fall apart like many noodles, the shredded seaweed is always a plus, the Okame (fish cake) adds another great texture, and the vegetables are well incorporated with the seaweed.
Unfortunately, I tried to Spicy Tuna Rolls with smelt eggs sprinkled on the side, and I did not enjoy it too much. The entire roll lacked a lot of flavor. The slices of cucumbers was not integrated well with the rest of the sushi that it made it a bit uncomfortable eating. Maybe I will try their other sushi rolls, but I don’t think it was worth the pay.
Therefore, I’d definitely say to check out their Udons if you are on a late night food run with your friends, lover or family members and need a little bit of soup in your life.
